One of the first steps the college must take in developing a new degree program is the submission of a proposal report to
PEQAB. Included in this report is a library support summary outlining current library holdings and services that would support the proposed program.
Follow the instructions below if you've been asked to complete a library support summary for a new degree submission.
Compile a list of those call number ranges that are most relevant to the proposed program. Send this list to the lcsyssupport@senecapolytechnic.ca listserv and request a PEQAB data report.
Library Digital Services will require up to three weeks to compile this report.
Using the PEQAB data report (see Step #1 above), fill in the:
The text that needs to be filled in is indicated with XXXXs. Beside each XXXX is an explanatory note highlighted in yellow, which provides additional instructions when you hover your mouse over it. Please be sure to remove all of the yellow-highlighted explanatory notes before submitting the handout.
Please see consult the * NEW FORMAT * handout examples in the repository below.
Submit your completed library support summary to Pam.
Pam will edit the summary as needed and then share it with Michelle Gravelle, Kathryn McMillan and Jennifer Peters for their review.
Once the the library support summary has been approved, Pam will submit it to the college's Manager of New Program Development, Amie Gheewala. Whoever requested the report will also be CC'd, likely Sasha or Megan.
Below are library support summaries created and submitted by library staff at the time when each of the following programs was first being proposed as a new program.
