Leganto Overview for Faculty at Seneca

What if I want to use my list again in the next or future semester?

You or your liaison librarian can roll over your list(s) by selecting the option "Duplicate or Roll Over List" from the list menu:

The next screen will prompt to review / change your list name and link to your next semester's course (if you cannot find your course section please contact your liaison librarian or email leganto@senecapolytechnic.ca).

Click on "Advanced Settings" to review the information that will be copied over to the next semester list.

Note: The library will attempt to roll over any lists that are linked to current semester courses if the next semester's course has the same instructor(s) or if the list is maintained by a coordinator. This typically happens in between semesters, and you will receive two email notices: A generic email informing you about the date your list(s) will be rolled over and a note from Leganto informing you when your list has been rolled over.

Email leganto@senecapolytechnic.ca or contact your liaison librarian if you have any questions about re-using your lists in an upcoming semester..

More About Rolling Over a List

How does a roll over for a course list affect students from the current and the next semester?

If the list if published to "course students only", the current semester course list will only be availble for students in the current semester's course until the list is unpublished while the new rolled over copy of the list will be  available only to students in the next semester's course (on the start date).

What if I am not using my list for the next semester?

No problem! You or the library can unpublish the list (so that it is not visible to any students) until you decide what to do with it.

Lists that have not been used for more than three years will be archived by the library.

Do I have to re-add the LTI link into my new course?

If you used course copy to populate your new course in Learn, you do not have to add a new Leganto LTI link - the existing one will work and automatically redirect to the newest list.
