We highly recommend that you roll over your list for use in the next semester as this will ensure that your course list usage data is kept accurate for each semester. The process is the same as making a copy of the current list, adjusting the settings, and linking it to your new course - it's just combined into one simple action.
You or your liaison librarian roll over your list(s) by selecting the option "Duplicate or Roll Over List" from the list menu:
The next screen will prompt to review / change your list name and link to your next semester's course (if you cannot find your course section please contact your liaison librarian or email leganto@senecapolytechnic.ca).
Click on "Advanced Settings" to review the information that will be copied over to the next semester list.
Note: Staring Fall 2024 the library will only roll over course lists that have the same instructor(s) in the upcoming semester. This is done shortly after the current semester ends, and you will receive an automatic email notification from Leganto confirming that your list has been rolled over.
Email leganto@senecapolytechnic.ca or contact your liaison librarian if you have any questions about re-using your lists in an upcoming semester.
If the list if published to "course students only", the current semester course list will only be availble for students in the current semester's course until the list is unpublished while the new rolled over copy of the list will be available only to students in the next semester's course (on the start date).
No problem! You or the library can unpublish the list (so that it is not visible to any students) until you decide what to do with it.
Lists that have not been used for more than two years will be archived by the library.
If you used course copy to populate your new course in Learn, you do not have to add a new Leganto LTI link - the existing one will work and automatically redirect to the newest list.
