Importing Items into a List

If you have an existing list of citations or references, Leganto's import function allows you add them to the list as items. Import files have to be of RIS or BibText format or contain a list of references in a (e.g., an article with a references section).

You can also re-import an exported Leganto list file if it was saved in the .lgn file format - use the first option for this (Create List).

Import into a New List

From your Leganto homepage, select "Create List" and click on Import list. Select the appropriate file format: lgn, RIS, BibTex, or reference list.

References: Citations in Articles

Reference files are any files that include references, such as a bibliography section in an essay. Articles in PDF that have a References (APA) or Works Cited (MLA) section can also be used - Leganto will attempt to import all citations listed in that section.

Make sure to doublecheck the imported items to make sure that they have the correct information.
