Circulating Equipment at Seneca

The Sandbox does not loan out equipment, all equipment must remain in the studio at all times.

 ITS Service Desk may have equipment available for sign out to students, faculty, and staff.

Book a Sandbox Studio

We have self-serve studios and full-serve studios.

  • Self-serve means you will ask library staff to let you into the studio and then you are on your own to use the equipment and software. Studio assistance is based on staff availability and only available if requested and booked 3 business days in advance. The earlier you request assistance, the more likely someone will be available.

  • Full-serve means there are Sandbox staff on site for your entire booking who can assist you by showing you how to use the equipment, setting up the studio and tearing it down after you’re done.

Currently we have:

  • 3 full-serve spaces available at Newnham

  • 2 full-serve spaces at Seneca@York

  • 1 self-serve space at King

  • 1 self-serve space at SIA

Spaces can be booked by current students, staff, and faculty.
