Data Downloading Tips from Land Information Ontario
To download:
1. On the main page of a dataset, click Download.

2. This opens a sidebar where you have several options for download. I.e. CSV, KML, Shapefile. Sometimes these options do not generate a layer properly (for example, Wetlands). This happens because the database has too many features and so it times out. When this happens go to Step 3.

3. If it times out, my recommendation is to scroll down on the sidebar and choose either Complete File Geodatabase or Complete Shapefile.

4. There is also a toolbar that allows you to filter the data that you download (see below). Zooming in on the map allows you the option to download only what is displayed.
