Find Film & Video Resources

Reuters Newsfilm for Education 

  1. Stock news footage database with over 130 years of historical newsreels, entertainment programs and images (over one million clips)
  2. Save, download and edit clips for projects and assignments
  3. Strict usage requirements*
  4. Must register for a personal account to access the full content

Tips for Reuters

  1. Searching
  2. Filtering
  3. Creating collections
  4. Reviewing metadata and frames
  5. Downloading and saving
     

Licenses can override the Canadian Copyright Act and Fair Dealing.  Here are some examples:

  1. Personal subscription (Netflix)
  2. Software (Microsoft Office)
  3. Library (Reuters)
