BAM101/BAM107 Business Research Tutorial

1. Start at the Seneca Libraries homepage, https://library.senecapolytechnic.ca
2. Type "corporate travel" industry into the search box and search for results
3. Under Refine your Results - Content / Material Type, click Newspapers search
   • This leads to results from newspapers, as well as news wire services
4. Explore the results, and then apply some refinements:
   • Click on Newspapers (beside the search bar), and select Featured Newspapers. Click the search button to update the results list.
     • Now the results are narrowed to only those from featured newspapers, which will be a much shorter, more Canadian-focused, list of results
   • Under Refine your Results, narrow by Publication date to articles published after 2022 (change the 'From' date to 2022, and click Refine)
5. Explore the results.

Consider how these results compare to those from the database search activity.

• Are you finding relevant results?
• Is one search tool easier to use?
